It was really a huge forum where I was given a chance for sharing my thought how we have worked for the betterment of the society through our innovative work. I do hope and promise to be associated with Marico Innovation Foundation in future…” said Subrata Das, HOD-SUC, TATA Power Delhi Distribution Limited – Business Category winner at the Innovation for India Awards 2014 “It was good to meet and represent the very niche work that Khabar Lahariya does to such a wide variety of influential people, and open up possibilities of collaboration and support. The award provided a kind of visibility to the work of an organisation like ours, who does not work with a conventional development intervention.
Working with rural communities on democracy and information generation through the medium of training rural women as journalists and publishing news is new to many individuals and agencies interested in supporting and sustaining development work. We’d recommend applying for the award for this kind of wide visibility and connections to an audience that could enable scaling up and increasing outreach of one’s work,” said Disha Mullick, Director, Outreach, Kahabar Lahairya – Social Category winner at the Innovation for India Awards 2014.
